A status page for clinics and healthcare practices
Patients rely on your online booking and phone lines. A public status page tells them what is affected, without them having to ring and wait.
Why clear updates matter to a clinic
Patients may already be anxious. Uncertainty about whether they can reach you makes it worse.
- The online booking system fails, and patients are unsure if appointments are still on.
- The phone system is down, and reception cannot be reached.
- A patient portal or form is unavailable and nobody knows when it will return.
- Reception staff spend time on the same questions when they are already stretched.

How a status page helps a practice
It is for service updates only. Never put patient information on a public page.
Components for patient-facing services
List Online booking, Phone line and Patient forms as separate items. See how components work.
Plain, careful updates
Post short notes that say what is affected and how to reach you instead. See how incidents work.
Maintenance notices
Warn patients about planned system work, such as a booking system upgrade at the weekend. See how maintenance works.

Team roles and audit log
Choose who can post updates, with two-factor login and a log of changes.

Worked example: a phone system fault
A fictional physiotherapy clinic, Northgate Physio, loses its phone system for part of a morning.
The practice manager posts
Phone line is set to Major outage, with a note giving the booking form link and a mobile number for existing patients.
The message is kept clear
The update says nothing about patients or appointments in detail, only which service is affected.
The provider restores service
The manager moves to Monitoring and tests incoming calls.
It is resolved
Phone line returns to Operational, and subscribers get an email.
This is an illustration of how the features fit together, not a real customer story.
Frequently asked questions
Is it suitable for urgent care?
No. Do not rely on a status page for anything urgent. Always give patients a separate way to get urgent help.
Can I keep the page private to patients?
Yes. A private page can only be seen by invited viewers who sign in with an emailed link, and starts at £29 per month. Either way, never post personal or clinical information.
Where is the data kept?
On a server in Europe. You can export subscribers, delete a subscriber or delete the account at any time.
