Status pages for clients

Status pages for each of your clients

If you look after websites or systems for other people, give each client a page of their own, so they can see how their service is doing.

The problem

The difficulty of looking after many clients

When something goes wrong, every client wants to hear about their service, not a general message.

  • Clients email or call to ask whether a problem is yours, theirs or the host.
  • A message to everyone is too vague, and a message to each takes too long.
  • Clients want a page that looks like theirs, not like yours.
  • There is no tidy record of past incidents to show at a review.

How Orbis Status helps

How Orbis Status suits agencies and resellers

Each status page is separate, with its own components, subscribers and branding.

One page per client

Create a separate status page for each client. Plans are priced per status page, and Free is £0. See the pricing.

Client branding and domain

Add their logo and brand colour, and use their own domain such as status.theirbusiness.com. See the white label options.

Remove our branding

Paid plans from Hobby at £11 per month, per status page, remove the "Powered by Orbis Status" link. Cancel any time.

Team roles

Invite colleagues as Owner, Admin or Member, with two-factor login and an audit log. See the team features.

Separate subscribers

Each page has its own subscriber list, so one client's updates never reach another's customers.

Sample data
Step by step

Worked example: a small web agency

A fictional agency, Fernhill Digital, hosts websites for a dozen local clients.

  1. Create a page per client

Each page gets the client's name, logo and colour, plus components such as Website and Online shop.

  2. Point their domain at it

The client adds a CNAME for status.theirbusiness.com and the HTTPS certificate is set up automatically.

  3. Post when something happens

When one site goes down, the agency posts to that client's page only, using a saved template.

  4. Show the history at review time

At the quarterly review, the incident history and uptime bars show what happened and how it was handled.

This is an illustration of how the features fit together, not a real customer story.
