A status page for ecommerce and online shops
When checkout stops working, shoppers do not wait. Give them a page that says what is affected and when it is back, and keep your inbox quieter.
Where online shops feel an outage
A shop that cannot take orders loses sales by the minute, and customers have nowhere to check.
- Checkout or payments fail, and customers email to ask if the order went through.
- The order tracking page is slow, and "where is my order?" messages pile up.
- A sale day brings heavy traffic, and parts of the site struggle.
- Social posts about the fault spread faster than your own explanation.

How Orbis Status helps an online shop
You update the page when something is wrong. Shoppers and staff can see the same facts.
Components for what matters
List Website, Checkout, Payments and Order tracking separately, so a problem in one does not look like all of them. See how components work.
Incident updates
Post Investigating, Identified, Monitoring and Resolved notes, so shoppers can see progress. See how incidents work.
Maintenance notices
Warn people before a planned change, such as a stock system move out of hours. See how maintenance works.
Email subscribers
Regular customers can subscribe and hear about problems and fixes by email.
Link it from your footer
A status link or badge on your shop gives customers somewhere to look before they write in.

Worked example: a payment problem on a sale day
A fictional candle shop, Ember & Oak, finds card payments failing during a weekend sale.
The team opens an incident
Someone sets Payments to Major outage and posts "Investigating" with a short, honest note.
Customers are pointed to the page
A banner on the basket page and the email auto-reply link to the status page.
Updates follow the fix
The provider fix is noted under Identified, then Monitoring while test orders go through.
It is marked resolved
Payments returns to Operational, and subscribers get the all-clear email.
This is an illustration of how the features fit together, not a real customer story.
Frequently asked questions
Will it tell me when my shop goes down?
No. Orbis Status does not check your systems. You, or your own monitoring tool using the REST API, update the page.
Does it work with my shop platform?
It sits alongside any platform. You link to your status page from your site, and there is nothing to install.
Does it cost anything?
The Free plan is £0 forever. Paid plans start at £11 per month, per status page, and remove the small "Powered by Orbis Status" link.
