A status page for charities and non-profits
Donations, sign-ups and helplines all depend on systems that sometimes fail. A free status page tells supporters what is happening and when to try again.
What a fault costs a charity
A broken donation form during an appeal costs more than money. It costs trust at a moment of goodwill.
- The donation page stops working during a campaign, and supporters give up.
- Volunteer sign-up or event booking fails, and nobody tells the people affected.
- A helpline or contact form is down, and people who need help cannot get through.
- A small team is too busy fixing things to explain them well.

How a status page helps a charity
It costs nothing, and the same page can serve donors, volunteers and the public.

Worked example: a donation page failure
A fictional animal rescue, Hollybrook Rescue, has a fault on its donation page during a winter appeal.
The fundraiser opens an incident
Donations is set to Major outage, with a note on how to give by bank transfer in the meantime.
Supporters are told
The link is shared on social media and sent by email to subscribers.
The provider repairs the form
The team makes a test donation and moves the update to Monitoring.
A thank you goes out
The resolved update thanks people for their patience and returns Donations to Operational.
This is an illustration of how the features fit together, not a real customer story.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a charity discount?
There is no need for one. The Free plan is £0, and you can add your own subdomain and custom domain for nothing. Removing the branding link starts at £11 per month.
Can we use it as a helpline notice?
You can say that a helpline is affected, but do not rely on a status page for anything urgent. Always list another route to help.
Does it check our website?
No. Orbis Status does not monitor anything. Your team updates the page.
